Cosplay at Little Penang

This March, Little Penang Street Market is hosting a very special event dedicated to cosplay, manga and anime. Are you unfamiliar with these terms? Come to Little Penang Street Market on Sunday, 30th March from 10-6pm to find out more ...

There will be 4 highlights around these themes:

1. Cosplay Competition (3pm - 4:30pm)
Competitors are invited to come dressed up as their favourite characters from comics, anime or manga.

There will be two categories: Solo (where competitors enter as individuals) or Group (where competitors enter as a group and perform a short skit of their characters). Cash prizes to be won, so don’t hesitate a second longer. Click here for enrolment form. Enrolment fee is RM5. Note: no original characters allowed.

2. Costume exhibition (11am-1pm)
Our very special guest at the March market will be M. Hanif, a very talented costume designer who is at the forefront of the cosplay community in Penang. His amazing works will be on display at the market throughout the day, come and have a snapshot taken with his amazing creations.

3. Demonstration (11am)
M. Hanif will also be giving a demonstration of his props making skills. Ever wondered how to make the perfect sword? Then come along and find out! Hands on demonstration in sword making, please email red.royal.guard@gmail.com to take part.

4. Manga (All day)
Amateur manga artists will display their work and show their incredible artistic talents. If you need any questions answered on how to draw the perfect nose, then these guys are here to give you the answer!
